2025 Tax Filing Deadlines You Must Know

There is the filing deadline and there is the payment deadline.
Filing dates for 2025 taxes
March 2, 2026: Deadline to contribute to an RRSP that will apply for the 2025 year
April 30, 2026: Deadline to file your taxes
June 15, 2026: Deadline to file your taxes if you are self-employed
Payment due date for 2025 taxes
April 30, 2026: Deadline to pay your taxes
(Suggest just putting some money into CRA as penalties are significantly higher than what you would obtain for an investment)
Employers and institutions:
February 28, 2026: The deadline for most tax slips (T4, T4A)
March 31, 2026: The deadline for T3
May 1, 2026: The deadline for issuing RRSP contribution receipts for contributions made during the first 60 days of the 2026 calendar year
